Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (dated 1922) with portrait: "Edith Helen Marchioness of Londonderry. D.B.E." [i.e. Edith Helen Chaplin, m. in 1899 Charles 7th Marquess of Londonderry]. Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Binding: Twentieth-century polished full mottled calf; gilt fillets, gilt-tooled on spine; gilt crest of Edith, Marchioness of Londonderry, as centrepiece; green spine label, gilt-lettered, gilt-top. Bookbinder's ticket on lower flyleaf: "W. Erskine Mayne, 3, Donegal Sq. W. Belfast".
