Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Binding: Twentieth-century half polished mottled calf on marbled paper over board. Gilt armorial stamp displaying Vane-Tempest-Stewart marshalled with Chaplin under a marquess coronet with charges and motto (Metuenda corolla draconis) on upper cover. Gilt tooling on spine. Black and green leather spine labels, lettered in gilt. Gilt-top. Original publisher's cloth bound in at the end.
