Provenance: Small paper label on v. 1 pastedown: Subscriber's copy Đ4-4s. Twentieth-century bookplate lettered Cunliffe, dated 1926. [Rolf Cunliffe, 2nd Baron Cunliffe (1889-1963)]. Affixed to v. 1 flyleaf: manuscript extract on author from Lower's Worthies of Sussex. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991).
