Lord High Chancelor of Scotland 1702. (Franks 15696) [Sir Patrick Hume, Earl of Marchmont etc. (1641-1724)]. Eighteenth-century ink shelfmarks on flyleaves, similar to those found in other Hume books. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Binding: Sixteenth-century (?) full vellum over boards; blind fillets to form a border; blind centrepiece stamp; blind fillets on spine; ink manuscript spine title; sewn on five raised bands.
