Binding: Twentieth-century full publisher's blue cloth; two sets of double blind fillets to form an outer border on upper board; blind stamped centrepiece on upper board: Hardy's coat of arms with motto 'Anchor, Hardy, anchor', festoon above and anchor and rope below; gilt lettered upper board and spine; gilt top edge.
