Provenance: Nineteenth century manuscript inscription on front flyleaf unclear, but possibly: "Prize to Manners Hervey for Greek Xmas 1877" [i.e. Rev. Manners William Hervey (1866-1944)]. Binding: Nineteenth-century full tan leather binding; gilt tooled border; spine gilt decorated and lettered: "The ballad book".
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. The house and contents were acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
