Summary
Book gifted and inscribed by the author: A Monsieur Winston Churchill, dans le fol espoir que ma faible voix ne sera pas sans echo. A. Bradfer 6 XII 58 Inscription translation: To Mr Winston Churchill, in the mad hope that my faint voice will not be altogether without resonance. A. Bradfer, 6 December 1958. No specific relationship could be established between WSC and the author. The book inscription does state that the gift was thanked on the 11th Dec 1958, but no record of this can be found in the Churchill Archive. WSC was still MP for Woodford. In the early part of 1958 WSC was in California supporting his daughter Sarah who was having personal issues following the death of her husband, Anthony Beauchamp. While there he suffered from double pneumonia. No record of author in the Vistors' Book. Summary author: Paul Simmonds
