Description:Monique: Les Gestes. Reconnaissance. Trois récits de guerre (Monique: Gestures. Recognition. Three war stories) People who have, in Paris, the taste of the eighteenth century's delightful furniture, all know, at least by name, Hippolyte Franquetot, the cleverest repairer of these fragile masterpieces carved by master cabinetmakers from one hundred and fifty years ago. By his extraordinary understanding of styles, by the finesse and safety of his workmanship, by his ardor of enthusiasm too, Franquetot, although he never left the blouse of the worker, is a great artist in a very small area. But are there small areas in art? Inscription Translation: Respectueux hommage - In respectful homage
