Summary
Single plate engraving, signed at foot: M. Greuter. fecit et ex c., central panel signed: M. de Vos figurant. Dated 1591. "IHS" at head. Central panel of the adoration of the shepherds, with quotation from Romans, chapter 1: "Qui factus ets ex semine davit secundum carnem", after the painting by Flemish mannerist painter Martin de Vos (c.1532-1603). Figurative border of architectural motifs with Moses on left, King Solomon on right, the four evangelists in each corner.
