Summary
Single plate engraving. Signed within pediment of central column: M. Greuter fec. Architectural border, dividing plate in two; on left lovers in their prime, on right the same figures ravaged by age and death, he skeletal, her a crone. Motto at foot, centre: "Formosa modo erat quæ vetula jam hic stat.", German mottos to left and right. Motto within cartouche at head: "Erheb dich nit deint schonen gstalt. Denck das du auch wirsthesslich allt.".
