Manuscript code on rear fly-leaf: "w/p". With manuscript annotations, marginalia and underscoring of text in a seventeenth-century[?] hand throughout. Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf over earlier pasteboards, in which can be seen the oval impression of a centrepiece stamp from an earlier binding; sewn onto six sewing supports; double gilt fillet border; blind roll pattern along board edges; rebacked in sheepskin; gilt title on dark brown sheepskin label and gilt date of publication on spine. Pencil note on front pastedown: "repaired at Cambridge, 1956".
