With insert: Letter from Basil Drew, dated 29 April, on headed paper of Frant End, Forest Road, Tunbridge Wells: 'Dear 'Jane?], I am afraid that so far I cannot find any very distinguished book, but I believe the Hamerton was supposed to have some good ideas at its date. The preface to the third edition is 1880. Let me have it back one day...' Provenance: Purchased from A. Drewe. Inscribed in ink on upper flyleaf: 'B. Drewe'. Binding: Full bound in maroon cloth over bevelled boards with blind fillets and gilt lettering.
