Pencil inscription on front pastedown: "Huttleston from Henry August 31st 1944" [i.e. to Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) from his brother, Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven (1900-1973)]. Loosely inserted: ms. slip: "With a great deal of love and all my best wishes for your birthday. Thank you very much for making Ailwyn so happy during his stay with you. Henry". Binding: Twentieth-century full red morocco over boards; double gilt fillet to form an outer border; sewn onto five raised bands; spine gilt, lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'A tour through North Wales'; double gilt fillet on board edges; triple gilt fillet on turn-ins; gilt textblock edges.
