Pencil bookseller's code on rear free endpaper: "o/-/-". Ephemera: (1) typescript catalogue card loosely inserted; (2) clipping from bookdealer's catalogue pasted onto second front free endpaper (price cut out). Provenance: Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (large variant), signed Badeley 1930: ‘Urban Huttleston Rogers Lord Fairhaven’ [i.e.: Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966)]. Binding: Nineteenth-century half dark blue morocco, dark blue cloth over boards; sewn onto three recessed cords; five false bands; spine gilt, lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'Greenwich Hospital' and (at foot of spine): 'Cruikshank'; gilt top edge; marbled endpapers.
