Binding: Twentieth-century full straight-grained red morocco; double gilt fillet and gilt roll (palmettes and floral sprays) to form an outer border; five raised bands; gilt tooled spine, lettered direct: 'History of Madeira'; gilt rolled at board corners; gilt textblock edges; marbled endpapers; brown silk ribbon marker. Original covers and spine bound in at end. In red cloth-covered slip case.
