Binding: Late nineteenth-century full red morocco; gilt armorial centrepiece stamp with initials 'HAJ' on upper board [i.e. Henry Arthur Johnstone, whose library was sold en bloc to a London bookseller in 1921]; gilt stamps at head of upper board and spine (stylised flowers); gilt tooled date '1893' at foot of upper board; spine lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'Croquis de cavalerie Vallet'; gilt top edge; leather endpapers.
