Summary
J. Parminter from Fullaford, Bratton Fleming has written an introduction that includes "the poems were written in my boyish days while engaged in the daily pursuits of an agricultural life". There is a handwritten inscription to J F Chanter from J Parminter. The Rev J F Chanter was rector of Parracombe from 1886-1916 and an associate of Rev Oswald Reichel. Both Chanter and Reichel were authors of books on local history and contributors to the Transactions of the Devonshire Association. It is extremely likely that Chanter gave this book to Reichel knowing his connection to the Parminter family and to A La Ronde.
