Inscription on flyleaf: "The second work in this volume [.] was never published, but only printed by the present Earl of Lonsdale and distributed to some of his friends, among whom he was so good as to remember me. June 1808. R. Wilbraham." Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate lettered George Wilbraham (Franks 31733) [George Wilbraham (1779-1852), of Delamere House, Northwich, Cheshire]. Pencil inscription on flyleaf: Library B Shelf 3. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on pastedown in Norris's hand: Delamere House, Cheshire 20/1 39. Rebacked NESN.. Binding: Nineteenth-century full calf over boards; gilt fillets and blind roll-tools to form a border, central panel and inner border; rebacked in calf; paper edges gilt and tooled.
