Honourable Sam Shepherd / the ring was a fine intaglio cut by him'. - Where the 'Advertisement' refers to 'That part of the poem where Mr. Holland is mentioned' there is an ink inscription against this text on page 34 ['The hero of the canvas stood']. - A further ink inscription after the 'Finis' on page 44. Binding: Eighteenth-century washed calf, gold-ruled spine, brown spine-label, gold-lettered 'Poems' [a collection of poems including four by Henry Shepherd]. Boards loose.
