Bookseller's stamp on verso of front free endpaper: 'Brentano's, New York.' Binding: Early twentieth-century half red morocco, red cloth over boards; sewn onto five raised bands; spine lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'Hawbuck Grange' and 'Surtees'; gilt stamped horseshoes and horse bits in remaining spine compartments; gilt top edge; purple endpapers; red ribbon marker. Binder's stamp on verso of front free endpaper: 'Morrell, Binder, London.'
