Provenance: manuscript inscription on front fly-leaf: "M. pages wrong figured" [i.e. catalogue code and collation note written by John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript inscriptions in sixteenth-century[?] hand on title page, washed out, some still partly legible: "No. ix. x. ix ..." [rest illegible], "...talier Delphinas" [first letters illegible]. Manuscript inscription in Hebrew[?] on title page beneath printer's device. With occasional manuscript marginal notes in sixteenth-century[?] hand in Greek with some Hebrew, very faint, washed out, and with underscoring of text. Binding: eighteenth-century tan calf; gilt roll decoration on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title label. Edges stained red.
