Other items loosely inserted inside rear board: 1) folded paper with similar notes and sums; 2) compliments slip from Bell hoping 'that the book may be found suitable for class use'; 3) letter on headed notepaper from 'City of London College' dated 19/2/[3?]4, addressed to W Straw and asking for details of student attendance; 4) list on lined paper of 10 female students headed ‘T.S.’; 5) cutting from 'The Times' 22 Nov 1933 on the Oxford Dictionary Supplement; 6) undated typescript letter [ca. 1935?] on headed notepaper from St James’s Palace S.W. addressed to Mr Talbot-Booth, giving approval from the Prince of Wales for his book on the Merchant Navy including donations on behalf of the RNLI and signed [?] Halsey, Comptroller.
