1 v. [unpaged] ; 21cm. Various loosely inserted notes. Loosely inserted letter, dated 4 Nov. 1903, addressed to "Dear Lady Londonderry", offering a translation of 'verses [for?] the sundial'. Provenance: Nineteenth-century bookplate with portrait of Theresa 6th Marchioness of Londonderry set in a medallion surrounded by lillies, Marquess coronet and a cherub. Underneath the portrait are two rows of books. Mottoes: "Prest d'accomplir" and "Non domini nostri sed duces" [i.e. Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot (1856-1919) m. in 1875 Charles 6th Marquess of Londonderry]; gilt-stamped initials on upper cover "T.L." [i.e. Theresa Londonderry]. Binding: Nineteenth-century full blue morocco, single gilt rule forming a border, gilt initials on upper cover. Five false raised bands. Two metal clasps. Marbled endpapers, gilt edges. Stamped on turn-in "Hatchards 187 Piccadilly".
