A day of heavy rain & the break up of our long spell of fine weather.' With small piece of lined paper used as a bookmark laid in at p. 2209. Provenance: Pastedown obscures armorial bookplate of former owner, lettered S.T. Galton (possibly Samuel Tertius Galton, 1783-1844).
