Broughton" [i.e. Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven (1900-1973)]. Provenance: Twentieth-century pictorial bookplate (sailing ship with Fairhaven arms on sails): ‘Sapphire R.Y.S.’ and ‘Broughton’ [i.e. from the library of the yacht ‘Sapphire’, owned by Urban Hanlon Broughton (1857-1929), later by Cara Leland Rogers, Lady Fairhaven (1867-1939)]. Binding: Twentieth-century full blue publisher's cloth; gilt lettered title on upper board with gilt stamped centrepiece: mermaid in a shield; gilt lettered title on spine; gilt top edge; blue pictorial endpapers (line drawing of a ship).
