2 v. ; 8vo. Pencil date on rear pastedowns: "9/27". Ephemera: loosely inserted in vol. 2: invitation addressed to "A. Urban Broughton Esq." to attend a concert by the "Gentlemen of the Choir of H.M. Free Chapel of St. George (Garter Chapel) and H.M. Private Chapel, Windsor Castle" at the Royal Albert Institute, Windsor, 21st December 1927. Provenance: Twentieth-century decorative bookplate with Broughton coat of arms above address: 'Park Close, Englefield Green.' [i.e. the home of Urban Hanlon Broughton (1857-1929) and his wife, Cara Leland Rogers, Lady Fairhaven (1867-1939)]. Binding: Twentieth-century full publisher's dark blue cloth; single blind fillet to form an outer border on upper boards; gilt lettered spines.
