Binding: Twentieth-century full red morocco; gilt fillets to form a border; gilt cornerpiece pictorial stamps: fish, ridiing helmet and crop, fox's head, horseshoe and riding crop; spine gilt, with pictorial stamps of horses, horses and riders, and a hunter with dog; sewn onto five raised bands; double gilt fillet on board edges; gilt fillets on turn-ins with pictorial stamps as on boards, with additional stamps of birds, dog, fox, and horseshoe with hunting horn and riding crop; gilt textblock edges; marbled endpapers. Binder's ink-stamp on front free endpaper verso: 'Bound by Root & Son'.
