Summary
The book was originally written for private circulation to those concerned or interested, to give an account of the Uitlander [South African immigrant] during the lead up to and the first Boer War, 1895-96. It was seen that everyone else had been heard and judged, but the Uitlanders had only been judged and their point should be also heard. The author was a South African who had lived in the Transvaal from 1884, and was the Secretary of the Reform Committee. After this circulation many suggested that further chapters should be added with later events. This book has the additional chapters. Book gifted by: J.P. Fitzpatrick Book Inscription Signature: J.P.
