A pamphlet: Joseph Jackson Howard (ed.), The Kytsons and Gages of Hengrave, Suffolk (Lowestoft: Samuel Tymms, 1867). 2. An article ([8]p.) from The Connoisseur: Leonard Willoughby, 'Hengrave Hall and it's [sic] art treasures'. 3. clipping from dealer's catalogue, unrelated to provenance. Provenance: Affixed to flyleaf: clipping from dealer's catalogue describing this copy. In 3 different hands underneath clipping: 1. Bain bought this book as above for Đ9 s10 d0 and charged me Đ12=s12=d0 for it .. [more details are given of other copies] I think I have given full value, but the Book is a good one. Brabourne May 28th 1884 [i.e. Edward Hugessen Knatchbull-Hugessen, 1st Baron Brabourne (1829-1893)] . 2. Bought by Sotheran at Ld. Brabourne's sale & bought by me of them. Binding: Late nineteenth-century (1893) full brown morocco binding over boards; triple gilt fillet to form a border; elaborate gilt-tooled inner border; spine gilt, with title 'Gage's History & antiquities of Hengrave'; sewn on five raised bands.
