Manuscript marginal annotations in a neat sixteenth-century hand on leaves 12 and 67; page of manuscript notes (referring to the note on leaf 12 regarding Heraclitus) written in a different sixteenth-century hand on recto of blank leaf q7. Provenance: manuscript capital letter written in ink at head of front fly-leaf: "S" (found in a number of Blickling's books but unknown as to what it means). Manuscript bookseller's[?]code on verso of second front fly-leaf facing title page: "V. inex. 6m". Binding: eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf; sewn on five supports; double gilt fillet border, panel of double and single gilt fillets with gilt floral cornerpieces; gilt roll pattern on board edges and turn-ins; gold-tooled spine with wavy sun tool and red leather title label gilt lettered 'LUCRETIUS ALDI'; all edges gilt; red/pink block-printed bronze-varnish endpapers with a repeating design of black circles and gold foliate pattern.
