Sixty pure-bred Leicester sheep for sale. . To be sold by auction, by Mr. Adam Walker, on Monday, September 19th, 1870, at the fortnightly fair, Kendal, commencing at twelve o'clock at noon, the following pure-bred Leicester sheep, the property of Mr. George Browne, Troutbeck, Windermere, who is declining breeding Leicesters, bred from ewes purchased from the flocks of William Sanday, Esq., Holme Pierrepoint, Notts, and the late Sir Tatton Sykes, Sledmere, Yorkshire, and by rams bred by Mr. Sanday and R. W. Creswell, Esq., Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, consisting of eleven shearling and aged rams, eleven ram lambs, twenty-six ewes and shearling gimmers, and twelve ewe lambs.
