Mr. Frs de Bernharnois Ambassadeur de France en Espagne; (3) 27th May, 1862, Lot 46 in the Sotheby & Wilkinson sale of the library of Manuel John Johnson (1805-1859) where it was bought by the London book dealer Toovey for £17. Binding: post-1862 white metal cover over red textile and boards decorated in relief; the front cover portraying the Virgin Mary kneeling before the Christ child, the back cover depicting the Resurrection.
