Binding: Nineteenth-century full straight-grained dark blue morocco; gilt and blind rolls to form an outer border; sewn onto five recessed cords; four false bands; spine gilt, lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'Costumes' and 'Russia'; gilt rolled corners of board edges; gilt rolled turn-ins; gilt textblock edges; blue ribbon marker.
