Summary
55 Mansell Str Goodman's Fields March 14 1843 My dear Sir Gardner! Accept my most heartfelt thanks for the kindness you had in complying so readily with my request. I can only assure you that it will be a great incentive to me to continue in my exertions so that I may really become worthy of the good opinion you so kindly entertain of my limited acquirements. The manuscript now in the hands of Mr Murray, is merely about half a portion of the first volume of my contemplated work, the continuation with treat on the Samaritans, Druses and Canaites throughout Syria, Palestine and Constantinople, and in order to make my narrative complete, I began from Egypt but introduced such observations which I thought have not been made before. Whilst you, dear Sir Gardner, have been engaged with various interesting researches in Egypt, I had to dive into different theological studies, and even to appear at the pulpit. I, therefore, as a trifling token of my regard for your literary labours, solicit your kind acceptance of the accompanying three publications, and reciprocating your good wishes, I have the honor to be My dear Sir Gardner yours very faithfully, L. Loewe
