Vane Jan[uary] 17th 1843" [i.e. Adelaide Emelina Caroline Vane (1830-1882), daughter of Charles William Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry and Frances Anne Vane-Tempest]. Nineteenth-century[?] badge bookplate, lettered "Lord Herbert Vane-Tempest" [i.e. Lord Herbert Lionel Henry Vane-Tempest (1862-1921), youngest son of George 5th Marquess of Londonderry and Mary Cornelia Edwards]. Binding: Nineteenth-century full green pebbled sheep[?], gilt centre-piece (urn), five raised bands, lettered direct in gilt on spine. Gilt edges. Binder's stamp: "Bound by Hayday".
