Binding: Late nineteenth- / early twentieth-century full dark blue morocco; triple gilt fillet to form an outer border; gilt stamped cornerpieces: flowers; sewn onto five raised bands; gilt tooled spines with gilt stamped flowers in spine compartments; spines lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'The life of Shelley' and 'Dowden / Vol. I[-II]. / Extra illustrated'; double gilt fillet on board edges; gilt fillets and rolls with gilt stamped cornerpieces (leaves) on turn-ins; gilt textblock edges; light blue silk endleaves; red ribbon marker in each vol.
