Twentieth-century monogram bookplate with decorative initials "I.A.", displaying "Perse" in a banner across and lettered "Lady Gregory" underneath [i.e. Augusta, Lady Gregory (1852-1932)]. Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (dated 1922) with portrait: "Edith Helen Marchioness of Londonderry. D.B.E." [i.e. Edith Helen Chaplin, m. in 1899 Charles 7th Marquess of Londonderry]. Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Binding: Twentieth-century polished mottled calf, gilt border; Gilt armorial stamp displaying Vane-Tempest-Stewart marshalled with Chaplin under a marquess coronet with charges and motto (Metuenda corolla draconis) [i.e. Edith, Marchioness of Londonderry] on upper cover. Gilt-tooled on spine; green leather spine, label lettered in gilt. Gilt-top. Bookbinder's ticket on lower pastedown: "W. Erksine Mayne. 5, Donegall Sq. W. Belfast".
