Orientation: Vertical Text Substrate: Handmade wove paper, watermark1805 Ink/Pigment: black printing ink Type: BOUND BOOK Binding Type: Inboard binding, recessed supports Date of Binding: contemporary Binder's Name: English End Leaves: Tipped single fold of borwn shell marbled paper made to a leaf of white wove paper followed by a made leaf of 2 sheets of white wove - construction not visible Structure: English Edges: Plain cut, finely sprinkled with a grey-blue pigment and polished Spine Lining: moderate round with continuouspaper linings End Bands: Worked from left to right in green, white and red silk over thick rolled-paper cores, with 3 or 4 tiedowns Bookmark: Dark brown silk ribbon Boards: Rope fibre boards, back-cornered ands cut square on the spine edge Covering: Brown tanned calf. sprinkled with a dilute black pigment with larger drops of clear liquid (?)over it. Tooling Spine: gold-tooled, divided by filets into 6 panels with sunburts tool in centeeof each panel, titled on label in panel 2 Tooling Sides: Gold-tooled double fillet border with a narrow lozenge and dot roll on the edges and broad “triglyph’ roll on the turn-ins..
