Summary
A lined curtain constructed from two different fabrics. The main fabric is a cream doby fabric inset along the sides and above the bottom hem with a fabric having a pink rose design with green leaves on a cream background. The lining is a plain cream fabric. The heading is constructed by gathering the fabric onto a heavy cream tape onto which are hand-sewn nine brass curtain hooks. Very soiled and dusty. The edge of the curtain on the left side facing has ten holes almost as if the curtain was attached to something. All machine-stitched. The lining has sun damage. Linked to N.T.143162.
Provenance
Purchased from the estate of the late Lord Wraxall with the assistance of the NHMF and donations from members and supporters.
