Imperfect: lacks vols. II. The Introduction volume, 1818, (separately catalogued) has been bound as Vol.I, pt.I. Vol. XV, pt. I bound as: Worcestershire, Westmoreland and Wiltshire. Vol. XV, pt. II bound as: second part of Wiltshire and Warwickshire. Vol. X, pt. I, and X, pt.III(ii) also have additional title pages.. Provenance: Each volume has nineteenth century armorial bookplate, signed "CWS", lettered: "Rev. The Honble. Sidney Meade", and ink stamp: "Frankleigh House Library". manuscript inscription on flyleaf verso of Vol.I, pt.I (Introduction): "This copy belonged to Robert Earl of Harborough, b. 1791 d. 1859".. Binding: Nineteenth-century full sheep[?]; board edges and turn-ins gilt rolled; upper and lower covers have frame of triple gilt fillets with ornamental corners, and gilt armorial panel stamp of the Sherard (Harborough) arms.
