Provenance: Bookplate: George Harry Grey (1737-1819) after 1768; anonymous armorial variant 2. Franks 12841. Previous Enville shelfmarks in manuscript on bookplate: "M.3" [crossed-out] and "N4" [in red ink]. manuscript inscription on front fly-leaf: "The gift of my grandson George Chetwode April 16th 1811. Stamford & Warrington" [i.e. George Harry Grey, 5th Earl of Stamford (1737-1819)].. Binding: Early nineteenth-century diced calf binding; gilt fillet and blind roll pattern border; gilt roll patterns on board edges and turn-ins; gold-tooled spine. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers.
