There is an old shelfmark in manuscript on the bookplate: M.6.. Provenance: Bookplate on front pastedown: Armorial, Grey and Booth quarterings, surmounted by an earl's coronet [i.e.: George Harry Grey, 6th earl of Stamford (1765-1845), after assumption of earldom in 1819], pasted over an earlier plate, which is totally obscured..
