Rosette armorial bookplate: "Antony Gibbs / Tenax Propositi" [i.e. Antony Gibbs (1841-1907)]. Binding: nineteenth-century full tree calf; gilt roll border; spine and all edges gilt. Binder's stamp on front flyleaf: G. New, binder.
