Summary
Manuscript (1 leaf), wrapped round 4 printed sheets (from Rawlinson's 1862 edition of Herodotus) marked '1st proof. May 26/63' and 4 printed leaves (from another edition of Herodotus); another ms. slip pasted on to free endpaper and marked 'Sent to Mr Murray 25 May 1863'. Marked on verso 'Let up once leaf demy 8vo JGW'. Wilkinson wrote many of the Egyptian notes for Rawlinson's edition (see Jason Thompson, Sir Gardner Wilkinson and his circle, p.189)
