In ink on title page: "Hannibal Gamon Sj tandem" [i.e. Hannibal Gamon (1582?-1651), Rector of St. Mawgan]; in italic hand: "Si non hodie, quando: jo. whyte"; [same hand] "ex dono patris mei charissimi Petri Wh." [i.e. John White (1570-1615), controversialist: see DNB. See also the port. frontispiece of Gamon's copy of White's 'Works', 1624 (C.16.10) where Gamon identifies this copy as formerly the same White's property. Pencil note to this effect on new flyleaf]. Binding: Sewn on 4 double supports. Badly peeled, blind tooled sheep. Rebacked, with new endpapers and pastedowns. Fore-edge title, in ink, vertical 'Maior'.
