Provenance: copious marginal annotations in sixteenth-century secretary hand and passages highlighted in ink, probably by a Protestant. Scorching to fore-edges of quires l-o consistent with being held too close to a candle. Manuscript inscription on leaf 130: "James Coss[?]"; on leaf 151: "Thomas Corveed my wryting". Other fragments of names appear elsewhere. Binding: sixteenth-century blind-tooled calf; blind thin thick thin fillet framework, with blind decorative rolls. Holes in boards for ties (missing). Rebacked in calf. Gilt title and place/date on spine. Manuscript fore-edge title.
