Provenance: various manuscript inscriptions on front pastedown: "e. w/w" and "P. ed" (both in pencil), price "3672-5tt-1s" [i.e. 5 livre tournois and 1 sol], and "F Panton". Identical text in what appears to be Latin but written in a highly stylised sixteenth- or seventeenth-century hand that makes it all but illegible on front pastedown and below colophon on leaf S5v. Manuscript price on rear pastedown: "6tt" [i.e. 6 livre tournois]. Binding: sixteenth-century[?] calf, sewn on five double cords; blind thin thick thin fillet border; small decorative gilt centrepiece stamp; single blind fillet on board edges. Spine cracked, headband and tailband missing. Gilt title and date on brown leather label on spine.
