[Christ]i. 700" [i.e. biographical note on the author by Hannibal Gamon (1582?-1651), Rector of St. Mawgan], price "pre ijs", and "Henricus[?] ... [surname? illegible] me po[sses]it ao 1572". Manuscript inscription on p. 401 of pt. 2: "Mary Warwik" [presumably some relation of Lady Lucy Robartes (1615/17-ca. 1646/47), daughter of the 2nd Earl of Warwick, first wife of John Robartes, 2nd Baron Robartes of Truro]. Binding: sixteenth-century calf; blind thin thick thin fillet frame; central panel surrounded by blind roll pattern frame. Pair of holes in boards for ties (missing). Rebacked in goatskin. Gilt title and imprint on spine. Manuscript fore-edge title: "homiliae bede". Single leaves of manuscript waste (fifteenth-century?) on vellum (old pastedowns) at front and back.
