[leaf]2-3[leaf]4) mis-bound at end following the index of liturgical epistles and gospels. Provenance: manuscript chapter numbers at head of each leaf of the Evangelists; occasional manuscript marginal notes in sixteenth-century hand and underscoring in vol. 1. Binding: seventeenth-century gold-tooled red goatskin. Border of gilt fillets, dash roll pattern and repeated foliate stamp. Gilt roll pattern on board edges and turn-ins. Gold-tooled spines, with gilt title and vol. number panels. All edges gilt. Comb-marbled endpapers.
