Manuscript inscription on verso of front fly-leaf: "Ex Bibliothecâ H[or R]uc[?] Van hulst 1699 / JBridges 2s: 10d" [i.e. presumably bought from the library of an unidentified Dutchman with the surname Van Hulst in 1699 by John Bridges (1666-1724), whose library was sold in London at three sales in 1726]. Manuscript inscription at head of title page, partially cropped off, partially legible: "Hen: ... Sifleti ... dono D'arentis"[?]. Binding: seventeenth-century sprinkled calf; blind single fillet border; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title. Red sprinkled edges.
